We are very happy to welcome a new member in EOFed. It is an orchestra from Ukraine: the chamber orchestra “Black sea orchestra” of the Odesa Municipal Theater.
The musical collective was established in 2016 as a youth chamber orchestra. At present, the orchestra consists of amateurs and conservatory students along with some professional musicians, about 20 members all in all. The orchestra is conducted by the talented and charismatic Olesya Pistova. The repertoire of the collective is very diverse, as it includes classical, tango, Celtic, rock and pop programs and is always updated with trendy hits.
The orchestra performs in the municipal hall and other city theaters. Moreover, it provides international receptions at the municipal level and participates in many festivals. Sometimes they cooperate with the “Municipal Concert Band” as the Black Sea Symphony Orchestra, which consists of about 35 people. Together they play classical and contemporary music, pop and rock hits and works by Ukrainian composers. It performs at the best theatre stages in the city and enjoys great popularity.
